Purpose:
This project seeks the recruitment and employment of a two year full time position dedicated to disaster preparedness and resilience in the Noosa LGA that includes additional budget for engagement and resilience activities/events. This position will address the regions disaster resilience needs and support community initiatives to develop local resilience to emergency events. This position is a new position to Noosa Council. Following the 2019 Bushfires it was evident the community was not prepared for disasters. This position will fill an unmet need in Council and community.
