Grant Activity:
Cherbourg & Surrounds Bushfire Resilience Project
Purpose:
This project aims to greatly assist in the significant reduction of the danger of loss-of-life and catastrophic fire damage to the homes and buildings of the Cherbourg Aboriginal Community and surrounding communities and towns, by cleaning and removing combustible material from the gutters and roofs using our state of the art gutter vacuums and safety first procedures. Comprehensive Fire Safety Inspections will be completed and detailed reports and suggestions for future improvements will be offered. The flow-on effect from completing this project first in Cherbourg, will then spread out to the wider communities and raise awareness of the dangers of bushfires, with the aim to get as many people on-board with protecting their own homes.
