Purpose:
Alamanda College has an active F1 in Schools STEM program and participates in the State Competition annually. Our Development Class Team, Xeleron, were successful at the state competition and has been invited to participate in the National Competition in Penrith in March of this year. The team comprises five Year 8 students from diverse backgrounds, including three boys and two girls. The team have created their own F1 brand, has designed and will manufacture its miniature race car using CAD and CAM, has tested its design using CFD, will build a trade display to promote its brand and then compete at the competition in Sydney later this year.
