Purpose:
The Danjera Dam project is designed to encourage and facilitate the recreational and tourist use of a truly unique location that provides opportunities for nature, cultural and adventure based activities. The project also has the potential to provide an isolated rural community with a focal hub, improved communications and a bushfire refuge building that provides a non-existent contingency in times of bushfire emergency. The project includes the construction of a camping ground, day visitation area, bushfire refuge building (including community meeting room) and associated recreational facilities.
