FIRST Robotics Competition
Purpose:
20 year 9-12 students will design, build and code an industrial sized robot, beginning in April 2023 to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) - WA Robotics Playoffs in Perth in August 2023. Students meet with teachers and industry mentors once per week after school to work on the robot. Students involved are on Engineering and Science pathways at Southern River College and learn high level STEM skills including critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration and cultural awareness as well as mechanical, electrical and software engineering. FIRST Robotics is a part of the college secondary Engineering and Computer Science pathways.
