Purpose:
This project will support Port Macquarie-Hastings Local Government Area landholders to carry out on-ground actions to support koala habitat protection, restoration, and threat mitigation. These locations will be determined through an expression of interest process targeting rural landholders. Projects that extend, improve or connect habitat will be chosen with the help of a selection panel including representatives from independent partnering organisations. The project will engage local landholders and create awareness around koala conservation. Through the project landholders and the wider community will be encouraged to use the I spy Koalas App to report sightings.
