Purpose:
This project will establish three, state of the art manufacturing cells using advanced production technology to produce high–volume perishable goods packaging. It will replace imported packaging, reduce inventory costs for direct customers (food manufacturers) as well as increasing efficiencies for retailers by improving stock management of perishable goods and checkout throughput rates. This packaging and its integrated technologies has the ability to be automatically sorted for plastic type and prior use (i.e. food grade or industrial), overcoming some of the key hurdles for high value plastics recycling. When fully operational, the project will create 13 FTE skilled positions and increase Techno–Plas Pty Ltd’s revenues by $2.8m per annum.
