Purpose:
The project will contribute koala population data to the National Koala Monitoring Program through monitoring activities in the Bundaberg Region. The project will reduce pressure on koalas in their existing habitat by delivering land management activities that will improve the quality of existing habitat. Additionally, weed management activities will reduce time koalas spend on the ground, thereby reducing risk of wild dog predation. The project will build capacity of Traditional Owners to undertake fauna monitoring and ecological restoration activities, and to develop listed fauna and weed management plans.
