Purpose:
As the developer and manufacturer of new generation X–ray imaging equipment, Micro–X is keen to share their passion about science and new technologies with the public. Micro–X has strong ties with Flinders University and their associated STEM outreach programs and has given numerous university students the opportunity to enter work placements, often followed by fulltime employment. The Science Week workshops will offer participants a unique opportunity to learn about X–rays and different forms of light and associated photography. The planned activities will enable Micro–X to showcase their groundbreaking carbon nanotube technology and award winning X–ray cart design to the wider community, with the aim to heighten public interest in STEM.
