Purpose:
The project aims to provide employment opportunities and mentoring for Minyumai Land Holding Aboriginal Corporation rangers by providing employment for five rangers 1 day a week to assist in ongoing maintenance and bush regeneration work on Minyumai IPA which was directly impacted by the Black Summer bushfires with 90% of the area burnt as well as damage to other properties. The project will offer mentoring opportunities for project management, educational activities and bush regeneration from the highly experienced bush regeneration company we have partnered with. The applicant will also assist in holding Cultural Workshops across the Northern Rivers with the Minyumai Rangers to further strengthen their connection back on country and connecting the community.
