Purpose:
The ASTRO 3D Indigenous Work Experience Program is a unique, astronomy education opportunity that encourages and inspires Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Year 10 students from the ACT and NSW, and interested in astronomy, to consider further study and possible career options in the field. Over five days students are provided with an insight into the work of astronomers and astrophysicists in both research and industry. A particular target group are those students who would not otherwise be able to access such a program due to geographical location (rural, regional and remote) and/or socio–economic circumstance.
