Purpose:
The Bushfire Preparedness Signage project will see the installation of signage that advises the community and visitors of Bushfire SaferPlaces (BSPs). BSPs are areas that have been designated as a place of relative safety, and have been assessed as safer from the impact of bushfires. The Black Summer Bushfires revealed knowledge of where BSPs are located is not ideal and in times of emergency, the importance of signage in locating them. Installation of this signage will not only assist in better preparation, but will support the communities wellbeing, knowing that action has been taken to address concerns raised as a result of the Black Summer Bushfires.
