Purpose:
STA FM is a community run radio station in Inverell NSW. This project will deliver benefits to the entire Inverell Local Government Area (LGA) by equipping a new digital studio and increasing the station's capacity to deliver local news and content 24/7. The project will drive jobs and skills by training new presenters, including Aboriginal and youth presenters. Community connection will also be enhanced through the fitout of an existing van which will enable the station to broadcast live from frontline community events. This includes festivals, disaster response activities and community events such as Anzac Day and Australia Day.
