This proposed Grant Opportunity aims to reduce impacts of drug and alcohol use on individuals, families and communities through quality research projects, ensuring the Australian Government’s efforts to address alcohol and other drug use are informed by the latest evidence. Funding provided under this grant opportunity will be used by Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) Research Centres to support ongoing ATOD research which:
- aligns with government priorities and supports policy development
- enables timely advice on a range of topics outlined by the National Drug Strategy and
- translates research findings to meet end user needs and for the promotion of evidence-based information and education through the development and dissemination of resources to key stakeholders.
This proposed grant opportunity will be available to four eligible ATOD research centres:
- National Drug Research Institute
- National Centre For Youth Substance Use Research
- National Centre for Education and Training on Addiction
- National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre.
