Expansion of the RHMT Program - Training in Aged Care Services
This forecast opportunity is to advise those universities participating in the Rural Health Multidisciplinary Training (RHMT) Program with a University Department of Rural Health (UDRH) of an upcoming grant opportunity “Expansion of the Rural Health Multidisciplinary Training Program in Aged Care Services”. The grant opportunity is part of the 2020 Australian Government announced investment to increase rural health training opportunities to deliver health, aged care and disability services in regional, rural and remote communities.
The grant opportunity will be to establish up to seven multidisciplinary health training demonstration sites in aged care services through existing UDRHs in partnership with one or more aged care provider/s, with a maximum of one project per RHMT program jurisdiction. The eligible RHMT program jurisdictions include New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland. The grant period will be from 1 January 2022 – 31 December 2023.
Only existing UDRHs in the RHMT Program will be eligible to apply. The intention of this forecast is to allow eligible applicants the time to consider and develop their responses to the selection criteria and formalise their consortium, or other organisational partnership, arrangements, if applicable.
