Description:

To establish up to seven health training demonstration sites in rural residential aged care services with a maximum of one project per Rural Health Multidisciplinary Training (RHMT) program jurisdiction. and the management of clinical training of allied health and nursing students. Applicants can specify the proposed health training demonstration site, but it must be based within an aged care facility in a MM 2-7 area. Consortium models for program delivery will be considered.

Eligibility:

This grant opportunity requires eligible universities to work in partnership with one or more aged care providers to deliver grant activities. The university will be the lead organisation in the partnership and will sign the grant agreement, receive the funding, and assume legal responsibility for performing the grant agreement. The Aged Care provider where capital works will be undertaken will be required to enter into a Use Agreement with the department. Lead organisations (applicants) of this grant opportunity must be an existing university departments of rural health (UDRH) in the RHMT program at the time of the announcement of this grant opportunity. The applicant must form a partnership/consortium with one or more aged care provider(s) to deliver grant activities. The applicant may also choose to include additional consortium member organisations, including other existing UDRHs, to support the delivery of the grant activities.

$18,380,000.00
