Description:

The Commonwealth, through the NIAA, funds organisations to perform the representative body functions listed in section 203B of the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth). The organisations that perform these functions are referred to as Native Title Representative Bodies and Service Providers (NTRB/SPs).

This grant opportunity is to continue the performance of these functions through funding NTRB/SPs to resolve native title claims and agreements, as well as establishing and supporting Prescribed Bodies Corporate (PBCs).

The objectives of the grant opportunity are:

  • Fund NTRB/SPs to perform the representative body functions listed in section 203B of the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth).
  • Assist native title claimants and holders to bring claims, negotiate agreements, and protect their rights and interests.
  • Support the resolution of native title claims and agreements.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining functional PBCs, including meeting legislative, compliance and operational needs.

8.     NTS Goldfields Ltd

9.     North Queensland Land Council Native Title Representative Body Aboriginal Corporation

10.   Northern Land Council

11.   NTSCORP Limited

12.   Queensland South Native Title Services Limited

13.   South Australian Native Title Services Ltd

14.   Yamatji Marlpa Aboriginal Corporation

Grant Activity Timeframe:

Award of grant agreements is expected between 4 May 2026 and 31 May 2026. Grant agreements will run from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2029. 

Total Amount Available (AUD):

$498,820,000.00

Estimated Grant Value (AUD):

From $9,000,000.00 to $54,000,000.00
