World Transplant Games 2023
The purpose of this grant is to support Transplant Australia host the World Transplant Games in Perth, Western Australia in 2023, as announced by the Minister for Senior Australians and Aged Care Services, Minister for Sport, Senator the Hon Richard Colbeck on 4 January 2021. The World Transplant Games is staged every two years and is the world’s largest awareness event for the importance of organ and tissue donation and the success of transplantation.
This grant opportunity is for a total of $0.6 million over three years commencing in 2020-21. It contributes to the achievement of the Sport and Recreation Program, which aims to make Australia the world’s most active sporting nation, known for its integrity, sporting success and world leading sports industry.

Transplant Australia (ABN: 39 107 428 615) is invited to apply for this grant opportunity as it has the:
- capability to deliver the project activities in the project location;
- existing infrastructure and relationships to support the project activities; and
- knowledge of and capability to deliver the project objectives and outcomes.
