Social Cohesion Measures Grant - Supporting Palestinian-Australian and Muslim Communities
The Australian Government is inviting organisations via a restricted process to apply to deliver services under the Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship Program – Social Cohesion Measures Grant - Supporting Palestinian-Australian and Muslim Communities in Australia for 2023–24.
On 19 October 2023, the Minister for Home Affairs announced a package of measures to support Australian communities affected by the Israel - Hamas conflict. The announcement included $25 million to support Australian-Palestinian and Muslim communities who have been affected by the conflict.
The purpose and objectives of the grant program (the program) are to:
- support Australian-Palestinian, Muslim and other communities including grassroots organisations that provide cultural activities, community programs and events
- increase access to mental health and community-led services, for affected communities such as peace-building work that improves overall social cohesion, emotional and social safety
- support specific activities to increase a sense of belonging for youth and women from Australian-Palestinian, Muslim and other affected communities.
To be eligible to receive a grant, you must be one of the invited organisations listed in the table located at Appendix A and have received an invitation to apply for this grant opportunity on GrantConnect.
