Description:

The Australian Government is inviting organisations via a restricted process to apply to deliver services under the First Action Priorities Fund – National Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence (FDSV) Workforce Survey at a national level from May 2024 to 2026.

The National FDSV Workforce Survey grant opportunity has $1.393 million (GST exclusive) available over 3 years from 2023–24 to 2025–26.

Over the last few years, the FDSV sector have been requesting national leadership on building the capability and size of the FDSV workforce.

This grant opportunity seeks an organisation with the capability and capacity to undertake a national FDSV workforce survey. To build sector and community capacity to identify and support women, children and LGBTIQA+ people who experience gender-based violence, there needs to be an understanding of the nature, size and current capabilities of the workforce. A national survey of FDSV workers – across the 4 National Plan domains of prevention, early intervention, response and recovery and healing – will provide this picture.

The objective of the grant opportunity is to:

  • Scope, consult, build and conduct a national survey that uses known methodologies and is accessible and culturally sensitive.
  • Analyse and present the data in a formal report that includes recommendations for focus areas and priorities on FDSV workforce capacity and capability.
