The Digital Advisory Service for Parents grant will fund a 3-year trial from 2026–27 to 2028–29 to design, deliver and evaluate a fully digital advisory service for parents across Australia. With up to $5.847 million available and around 2,700 participants expected, the trial will support the Government’s Future Employment Services System Framework by testing a modern, flexible and participant-led digital approach to employment support for parents.

The service will provide parents with access to an online platform offering tailored advice, practical tools, coaching, mentoring and links to employment opportunities. It will help parents build skills, confidence and employment connections, including through interaction with other parents and employers. Participation will be open to a broad range of parents.

The organisation funded through this grant will work closely with the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations to design and deliver a user-friendly, responsive service using effective digital technologies. The trial will be closely monitored, with requirements to track outcomes, adapt delivery, share insights and demonstrate impact.

Program objectives include improving access to flexible, personalised supports and strengthening connections to employment pathways. Intended outcomes include increased capability, improved confidence and readiness, and evidence to inform future service delivery, including potential expansion of digital servicing approaches.
