The objectives of this grant opportunity are to: improve health outcomes for the Australian community through the provision of targeted assistance for aids and appliances; by supplying fully subsidised insulin pumps to eligible children (persons under the age of 18) with Type 1 diabetes from low-income families who do not have access to alternative means of reimbursement, such as private health insurance.
The intended outcome of the grant opportunity is to ensure the maximum number of fully subsidised insulin pumps are available to eligible children under the age of 18 years with type 1 diabetes from financially disadvantaged families within the available funding envelope each financial year over the term of the grant.

JDRF Australia is the current administrator of the Insulin Pump Program. JDRF Australia has the proven capacity and reliability to continue to receive funding under this program and is the only organisation eligible to apply.
To be eligible you must be the listed organisation JDRF Australia.
