The purpose of the grant is to fund a pilot of a psychosocial support case management model for women with ovarian cancer and their families.

It contributes to the achievement of Program 2.4: Preventive Health and Chronic Disease Support, through which the Australian Government seeks to improve the health and wellbeing of Australians through evidence-based promotion of healthy lifestyles, early detection of cancer and other conditions, and through the implementation of relevant strategies. This includes improving early detection, treatment and survival outcomes for people with cancer and supporting access to palliative care services.
