Description:

The Australian Government is inviting one organisation via a restricted process to apply to deliver services under the Early Learning and Schools Support Program – Life Education Australia Program Improvements from 2022-23 to 2026-27.

The Life Education Australia Program Improvements grant funding was announced by the Australian Government in the 2022–23 March Budget. The new grant will provide $6 million over 5 years for Life Education Australia to support their national office, make improvements to the Life Education Australia program, develop additional learning modules for online safety and respectful relationships for younger children, and implement recommendations from a program evaluation.

The intended outcome is to support the provision of quality curriculum-aligned preventative health education to students with updated and relevant learning modules. Life Education Australia are a longstanding provider of preventative health and wellbeing education to primary school aged children. Life Education Australia’s education programs, which are aligned to the Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education, cover topics including food and nutrition, cyber safety, social and emotional wellbeing, bullying and harassment, peer pressure, hygiene and personal care, decision making, tobacco, alcohol, and drugs. Life Education Australia’s health and safety modules are delivered to around 700,000 students each year at more than 4,300 preschools, and schools throughout Australia. It is estimated that 2.8 million children and young people will have participated in the Life Education Australia Program by the end of November 2026.
