Indigenous Australians' Health Programme Comprehensive Primary Health Care - Rolling Funding Arrangements
The purpose of this grant opportunity is to fund Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs) that are currently delivering comprehensive primary health care (CPHC) under the Indigenous Australians’ Health Programme (IAHP) to continue to deliver CPHC under new rolling funding arrangements from 2024-25. Current funding for the IAHP Primary Health Care Program (PHC Funding Model) Grant Opportunity (GO2884) is due to expire on 30 June 2024.
The objectives and outcomes of the CPHC Program are to:
- Objective 1: provide First Nations people with access to culturally appropriate comprehensive primary health care services. Outcome: First Nations people can access culturally appropriate comprehensive primary health care services, where and when they need it.
- Objective 2: support ACCHOs to deliver culturally appropriate comprehensive primary health care services tailored to the health needs and priorities of their communities. Outcome: ACCHOs deliver culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care services that meet the health needs and priorities of their local communities.
- Objective 3: support ACCHOs to embed Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and best practice clinical and organisational governance into CPHC service delivery, supporting good health outcomes for clients and service sustainability. Outcome: ACCHOs deliver best practice comprehensive primary health care services to their local communities.
CPHC funding must be used to deliver culturally appropriate comprehensive primary health care services tailored to the health needs and priorities of First Nations communities.

To be eligible, you must:
- Be an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) that is currently funded under the IAHP to deliver comprehensive primary health care services tailored to the health needs and priorities of First Nations communities; and
- Have submitted the prerequisite minimum of two years of activity level data (client numbers and episodes of care) in the Online Services Report (OSR).
