The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award -Australia's Disadvantaged Youth Program Guidelines 2021-22 to 2023-24
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award -Australia‘s Disadvantaged Youth Program (the Program) was announced in the 2021–22 Budget and will provide $3 million in 2021–22 to extend the Program to an additional 4,500 disadvantaged students over three years (2021–22 to 2023–24).
The Program allows disadvantaged young people to participate in a highly regarded program alongside their peers.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award - Australia is the national organisation helping Australians participate in the Disadvantaged Youth Program.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award - Australia is the only provider for this program and the sole organisation eligible to apply for this grant opportunity.
No other organisations are invited to apply.
The Department of Education, Skills and Employment considers that the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award - Australia is uniquely placed to deliver the Program as it has the necessary:
· staff expertise
· established processes and procedures
· historical data
· in-depth understanding of existing program outputs
· established productive relationships with key stakeholders.
