The International Science Council Asia and the Pacific Regional Office
The International Science Council (ISC) Asia and the Pacific Regional Office Grant will run over six years from 2022-23 to 2027-28. The grant will support the Australian Academy of Science to establish and host the ISC's Asia-Pacific Regional Presence in Australia.
The objectives of the grant are to:
- establish the ISC Regional Office in Australia; to advance two Flagship programs, focused on scientific and technological support for the Pacific that include disaster risk reduction, resilience and readiness development, and building leadership and workforce capacity in the Pacific;
- develop supporting initiatives to advance the priorities of the ISC's Science Action Plan
- establish a strong virtual presence for ongoing domestic and international engagement, and building awareness of the contribution and achievements of the ISC and Regional Presence activities.
