The National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health Program
The Australian Government is committed to supporting Australians with, or at risk of, mental illness by improving service integration for a more effective and efficient mental health system.
The objectives of the Program are:
• enhance innovation and improve outcomes in youth mental health services through facilitation, translation and dissemination of research into evidence-based practice; and
• conduct and coordinate research and research translation activities across Australia to support services to deliver improved mental health outcomes for young people.
The intended outcomes of the Program are:
• operation of a National Centre for Excellence in Youth Mental Health;
• advice to Government on development of evidence-informed national strategies to improve youth mental health services;
• advice to Government on development of youth mental health clinical service models;
• research to increase the capacity of the youth mental health sector in Australia; and
• delivery of workforce development and support.
As this is a closed non-competitive grant opportunity only the organisation listed at Section 4.1 in the Grant Opportunity Guidelines - Orygen, is eligible to apply.
$9,000,000.00
Suitability to receive grant funding will be assessed as per Section 6 of the Grant Opportunity Guidelines.
