- select student teams from around Australia and support them at the IMIO from 2024 to 2027
- promote all aspects of the AMIO program in order to build the profile and prestige of mathematics and informatics in Australia, particularly amongst diverse cohorts and groups historically under-represented in science, in line with the Government’s commitment to diversity in STEM.
The intended outcomes of the grant are:
- increased participation of Australian students in mathematics and informatics enrichment activities and careers, particularly amongst diverse cohorts and groups historically under-represented in science, in line with the Government’s commitment to diversity in STEM
- increased awareness in Australian schools of, and participation in, the AMIO program
- Australian student representation in the IMIO from 2024 to 2027.
