Family Support Funding Program (FSFP) - 2024-25 Annual Grant Opportunity
The purpose of this grant is to fund innovative projects that empower military families and their communities to develop strong coping mechanisms, foster a supportive environment, and promote overall well-being.
Any incorporated not-for-profit organisation can apply for a FSFP grant. Grants support the delivery of programs and services to help current serving ADF families to navigate the challenges and opportunities of military life such as mobility and absence, foster a sense of community and develop resilience.
To be eligible, applicants must be one of the following Australian not-for-profit organisations whose volunteers’ work supports Defence families and/or communities in Australia and are legal entities and have been operating for 12 months or longer.
A not-for-profit (NFP) organisation whose NFP status must be demonstrated through one of the following:
• current Registration with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC)
• state or territory incorporated association status
• constitutional documents and/or Articles of Association that demonstrate the not-for-profit character of your organisation

From $5,000.00 to $75,000.00
Applicants are to read the Grant Opportunity Guidelines prior to applying for a Family Support Funding Program Grant. Applications are to be lodged using the application form attached to this Grant Opportunity.

The Family Support Funding Program is administered by Defence Member and Family Support and all applications are assessed by the Family Support Advisory Committee assessment panel specially convened for this purpose.
The assessment panel then provides advice, recommendations and any relevant terms and conditions to the Minister for Defence Personnel for approval.
