Public Health and Chronic Disease Program: Channel 7 Perth Telethon
The purpose of the grant is to provide funding to the Trustee for Channel Seven Telethon Trust. It contributes to the achievement of Program 1.5 – Preventive Health and Chronic Disease Support, Public Health and Chronic Disease Program.

The organisation is eligible for this grant opportunity as they have been assessed to have:
- capability to deliver the grant activities in Western Australia;
- existing infrastructure and relationships to support the project activities;
- experience and capability to deliver the grant objectives and outcomes; and
- demonstrated value for money to deliver outcomes in the current market.
The Trustee for Channel 7 Telethon Trust is a registered charitable trust, governed by a Board of Trustees, that financially supports the medical and social welfare of children and young people and funds research into children’s diseases. The charity has been raising money through the Telethon for the past 54 years and is currently assisting 65 charity beneficiaries. It is the highest donating Telethon (per capita) in the world, exceeding $500 million in October 2022. The money raised provides equipment for children in hospital, critical services for children with disabilities, and life-changing opportunities for disadvantaged children.
