Emergency funding to support NT immunisation program
The purpose of this grant opportunity is to ensure the continued delivery of the National Immunisation Program (NIP) across the Northern Territory (NT) by increasing vaccine storage capacity at both Darwin and Alice Springs Hospitals. The NT Department of Health distributes its vaccines under the NIP via four separate pharmacies across the NT (Darwin, Alice Springs, Katherine and Gove) however due to current flight restrictions, vaccine is unable to be delivered to both Katherine and Gove.
The objective of the grant opportunity is to:
- increase vaccine storage capacity at both Darwin and Alice Springs Hospital pharmacies; and
-
provide reliable cold chain distribution capability from the two sites.
The intended outcome of the grant opportunity is:
- continued distribution of NIP vaccines across the Northern Territory from two central pharmacies instead of four.
The eligible organisation has been identified by the Department to receive this one-off emergency funding considering the nature of the grant is specifically dependent on providing assistance to urgently increase vaccine storage capacity in the Northern Territory.
Referr to Section 3.1 of the Grant Opportunity Guidelines for additional information.
It is anticipated that the completion date will be 30 June 2020.
$60,000.00
A further application is not required to be submitted as the Department has already recieved a proposal from the eligible organisation.
