Training and Professional Support for the Remote Health Workforce
The purpose of this grant opportunity is to fund an organisation to provide health professionals, working in remote areas or other circumstances of professional isolation, with education, mental health and wellbeing support and professional services that are relevant and appropriate to their context of practice.
The objectives of the grant opportunity are:
* provide relevant and accessible education, training and professional development opportunities to health professionals working in remote and isolated areas of Australia;
* provide mental health and wellbeing support to health care professionals, and their families, living and working in remote and isolated areas of Australia; and
* provide professional services to members of Australia’s emerging and existing remote health workforce, thereby contributing to the recruitment and retention of this cohort.
The intended outcomes of the grant opportunity are to:
* enhance the knowledge and skills of health care professionals working in remote and isolated areas of Australia;
* increase mental health and wellbeing support for health care professionals and their families, working in areas of physical and social isolation; and
* increase the recruitment and retention of health care professionals working in remote and isolated areas of Australia.
