The Carer Inclusive Workplace Initiative Program (the program) will run over 2 years from 2026-27 to 2027-28.

This grant program supports the Australian Government’s contribution to outcomes for Disability and Carers by advancing the objectives of Program 4.1 - Disability and Carers. The objective of the grant opportunity is to assist and encourage employers to develop and adopt practices that encourages and support employees with caring responsibilities.

The purpose of this grant opportunity is to expand carer inclusivity in workplaces around Australia. It will enable businesses, in particular small businesses, to self-identify as a carer inclusive organisation without the time commitment and cost associated with a full accreditation process.

To be eligible, you must be the below listed organisation and have received an invitation to apply from the department:

The eligible organisation was determined based on their demonstrated capability to deliver the grant activities, supported by existing infrastructure, governance, and stakeholder relationships. This organisation has a proven track record of delivering similar projects effectively, aligning with the grant’s objectives and outcomes, and offering value for money in the current market. 

A closed non-competitive selection process was chosen to ensure continuity, minimise duplication, and maximise the impact of public investment by leveraging the expertise, infrastructure, and performance history of the most suitable provider/s.
