Australia-Japan Foundation 2023-2024 Grant Round
The AJF Grant Program, with funding from the International Relations Grants Program (IRGP), seeks to expand people-to-people and institutional links between Australia and Japan by supporting programs and partnerships that promote a contemporary and positive image of Australia and align with the Australian Government’s priorities. The key priority areas are: society, culture and sport; economic diplomacy and geopolitics; education and Australian studies; scientific innovation; and communication, information and advocacy.
Section 4 of the AJF 2023-2024 Grant Round Guidelines:
§ be one of the following entity types
- an Australian entity with an Australian Business Number (ABN), Australian Company Number (ACN), or Indigenous Corporation Number (ICN)
- an Australian consortium with a lead organisation
- an Australian registered charity or not-for-profit organisation
- an Australian local government body.
- an Australian State/Territory government body
- a corporate Commonwealth entity
- an Australian statutory authority
- an Australian or permanent resident of Australia
- a Japanese citizen or organisation
- a well-established organisation in Japan with a business purpose to advocate for Australian business, education and/or cultural interests.
§ be willing to provide or develop child protection guidelines that met the Child Protection Policy (dfat.gov.au) for your project if it involves people under the age of 18 years.
[1] The Australian Government recognises that some organisations may seek to form consortia in order to apply for a grant under the Program. Consortia are eligible to apply and the relevant conditions applicable to consortia are at 7.2 ‘Joint Applications’

From $10,000.00 to $50,000.00
Applications can only be submitted via a SmartyGrants online application form. The grant application must be submitted in English by 14:00 AEST on 15 September 2023
