The Australian Government is inviting organisations via a closed non-competitive process to apply to deliver a grant under the Protecting Migrant Workers: Information and Education Package Round 2.

For this Grant, $17.97 million GST exclusive is available over the 2026–27 and 2027–28 financial years. Grant Agreements will be up to 18 months in length.

The Protecting Migrant Workers: Information and Education Package Round 2 is a component of the Strengthening the Integrity of the Migration System and contributes to whole of government efforts addressing migrant worker exploitation and aligns with the Migration Strategy, which seeks to ‘ensure a fair go in the workplace by complementing the jobs, wages and conditions of all workers and preventing migrant worker exploitation’.

The intended outcomes of the program are:

• increase temporary visa holders’ and employers’ awareness and understanding of their workplace rights and obligations under the Migration Act, including the recent reforms that address migrant worker exploitation
• support employers of temporary visa holders with information to enhance compliance with their obligations
• increase the confidence of temporary visa holders in asserting their workplace rights, and understanding of how to report workplace exploitation.

To be eligible to receive a grant, you must be one of the listed invited organisations and have received an invitation to apply through GrantConnect.
