Supporting the setup of the Y Careers agency and its operations (Y Careers)
The Australian Government has committed to invest $15.2 million to support the setup of the Y Careers agency (Y Careers) and its operations to support young people and employers in the care economy.
The funding will support Y Careers’ objective to support up to 15,000 young Australians, by creating over 30,000 job placements nationally in the care economy over five years. This will assist both young people and employers struggling to deliver care services due to workforce shortages.
The Government is seeking to support the setup of Y Careers as an independent career agency that designs and delivers services to young people and to use the learnings to inform the development of future policy and program development.
Funding of up to $15.2 million (GST exclusive) is available under this grant opportunity from June 2023 to 30 June 2024. The successful grant recipient will set up Y Careers with the capacity and capability to design and deliver these services, design concepts to deliver the services, and undertake a pilot of these concepts.
Evaluation of the Y Careers concepts will be undertaken in stages to iteratively refine the design of the model over the 5-year period.
This is a closed non-competitive process.
To be eligible, you must be invited to submit an application. The only entity to be invited to be the applicant will be Y Careers Ltd (ABN 14 661 407 343).
We cannot consider your application if you do not satisfy the eligibility criteria.
