Description:

The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal Program (the Program) is a direct commitment of Government, announced as part of the May 2023-24 Budget. This Program is enabling Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal to support the Melbourne Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) to deliver activity required to facilitate completion of years 3 to 5 of the five-year RCH Melbourne Children’s Campus Mental Health Strategy (the Strategy).

The Strategy aims to deliver high quality, comprehensive infant, child, and adolescent mental health care, improve mental health literacy and trauma informed care, supports, education and resources for children, parents/carers, and staff, and undertake clinically driven research to inform evidence-based, consistent care for children and families attending the RCH Melbourne Campus, including via workforce education and training programs.

This grant opportunity will provide funding of $6 million (GST exclusive), over three years from 2023-24, to the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal to support delivery of activity by RCH and partners as defined in years 3 to 5 of the RCH Melbourne Children’s Campus Mental Health Strategy.

Eligible Organisation/s

Legal Name of Organisation: Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal

Rationale for eligibility: This funding measure was a direct commitment by Government to the listed organisation, the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal, given:
