Carer Peak Body Organisational Support and National Carers Week
The Carers Peak Body Organisation Support and National Carers Week programs (the programs) will run over 5 years from 2026-27 to 2030-31. The program is a continuation of the Carer Peak Bodies and National Carers Week program (2019-25). It provides organisation support for peak representation of carers and their interests as representatives. The program would receive funding of $4,725,000 (indexed) to continue to provide organisation support for peak representation of carers and their interests as representatives into 2030-31.
The purpose of this grant opportunity is twofold: to represent the Australian Government as the National Carers Peak Body and to deliver on the objectives of both the Carers Peak Body Organisation Support and National Carers Week programs.
Expected outcomes include improved policies and services, greater recognition of carers, increased community awareness, stronger engagement, and better access to supports.

A closed non-competitive selection process was chosen to ensure continuity, minimise duplication, and maximise the impact of public investment by leveraging the expertise, infrastructure, and performance history of the most suitable provider/s.
