Mental Health Supports for New South Wales Communities Impacted by the July 2022 Floods
On 18 August 2022, the Australian Government announced funding of $13.1million (GST exclusive) over four years (2022-23 to 2025-26) for vital mental health support for flood-affected regions of NSW following the July 2022 floods.
The purpose of the grant is to strengthen and support the mental health system in communities most impacted by the July 2022 floods by expediting the establishment of a headspace centre in the Hawkesbury region, establishing a permanent headspace service in Ballina, providing support to National Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation services (NACCHO) impacted First Nations communities, funding Primary Health Networks (PHNs) for an Emergency Response Coordinators in three (3) of the most impacted regions; and providing access to Wellbeing and Resilience Grants to four (4) PHNs in the most impacted communities.
To be eligible, you must be listed as an eligible organisation (Table 2 and Table 3 of the Grant Opportunity Guidelines)

• HNECC LIMITED
• South Western Sydney Primary Health Network LTD
• WentWest LIMITED (Western Sydney PHN)
• Wentworth Healthcare LTD (Nepean Blue Mountains PHN)
