Description:

This grant opportunity is to assist NDIS participants, their families and workers to understand their rights, make complaints, and raise issues with NDIS providers. The grants will implement a robust and transparent co-design process with the relevant participant cohort identified in the application to develop a suite of resources and tools to meet the diverse needs of people with disability with resources that are suitable to them. The grant will also seek to increase participant awareness in the cohort of what quality services and best-practice service delivery looks like.

Applicants are encouraged to focus their proposal on one of the following cohorts of participants:


·         First Nations people, including those in remote communities

·         people with disability who require support for decision-making

·         people living in specialist disability accommodation or supported accommodation settings

·         children and young people with disability

·         people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds

·         people who identify as LGBTIQA+

·         people with psychosocial disabilities

·         other cohorts identified by the applicant as suitable for this grant.

Eligibility:

To be eligible you must:

·         have relevant experience as detailed in the Grant Opportunity Guidelines

·         have an Australian Business Number (ABN)

·         be registered for the purposes of GST

·         be a permanent resident of Australia

·         have an account with an Australian financial institution

·         be located in Australia

and be one of the following entity types:

·         an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Corporation registered under the Corporations (Aboriginal and /or Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006

·         a company incorporated in Australia

·         a company incorporated by guarantee

·         an incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust

·         an incorporated association

·         a joint (consortia) application with a lead organisation

·         a registered charity or not-for-profit organisation

·         a publicly funded research organisation

We can only accept applications:

·         where you can provide evidence from your board (or chief executive officer or equivalent if there is no board) that the grant activity is supported, and that you can complete the grant activity and meet the costs of the grant activity not covered by the grant.

Grant Activity Timeframe:

The successful grants will run over two (2) years from June 2023 to June 2025.

Total Amount Available (AUD):

$3,000,000.00

Estimated Grant Value (AUD):

From $300,000.00 to $1,000,000.00
