Description:

This grant opportunity provides $193.2 million over two years to renew existing National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care (NATSIFAC) Program service providers grant agreements from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2025 to ensure essential aged care services continue to be delivered to First Nations elders uninterrupted.

Under the NATSIFAC Program, service provider’s will continue to provide services in accordance with the NATSIFAC Program Manual (Program Manual). The Program Manual outlines the operational requirements of the NATSIFAC Program and forms part of the grant agreement between the Commonwealth and the Grantee.

NATSIFAC Program funded organisations are required to report on their performance through annual financial acquittals and six-monthly Service Activity Reports in accordance with the Program Manual and the grant agreement. NATSIFAC Program service providers must have policies, procedures and practices in place to ensure the service delivers flexible, culturally safe care which meets the Aged Care Quality Standards and Quality of Care Principles.

The objectives of the grant opportunity is to:

  • renew existing NATSIFAC Program service provider grant agreements from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2025.

The intended outcomes of the grant opportunity is to:

  • ensure essential, culturally safe aged care services continue to be delivered to First Nations elders without interruption.

Eligibility:

This grant opportunity is only available to current NATSIFAC Program providers who have a current funding agreement in place with the Department of Health and Aged Care to deliver aged care services under the NATSIFAC Program.

$193,200,000.00
