Purpose:
This project will enhance an existing Portable Near-Infrared Spectrometer manufactured by Thermo Scientific to non-destructively and accurately detect asbestos-containing material in bulk and air filter samples. The focus is for the single equipment to analyse all 6 asbestos types in both bulk and airborne samples with no manipulation. Developed interface, calibrations and hardware will be available for global export.
