Purpose:
To offer service dogs to serving and ex-serving veterans to reduce the risk of self-harm, suicidal ideation, and to support and reconnect with their families. Funding will support the sourcing, initial training and placement of service dogs along with ongoing support to the handler to allow the dogs to be registered and branded as qualified assistance animals.
