Grant Activity:
Advancing the prevention and early intervention for co-occurring anxiety and alcohol use disorders
Purpose:
Alcohol use disorders often occur together with anxiety disorders, especially among youth. When these two occur together, individuals can have worse symptoms and treatment outcomes. This study will enhance the prevention and early intervention between anxiety and hazardous alcohol use by identifying key underlying mechanisms driving their relationship, and optimising interventions which address both conditions simultaneously.
