Purpose:
Jindabyne Central School is one of the fastest growing central schools in NSW. Due to our rural location and limited access to reliable technology, students have had minimal exposure to STEM and its real world relevance. The school is committed to the promotion of STEM across the whole school, and the development of key STEM–based future employability skills. Our portable makerspaces would be adaptive and will focus on the use of repurposed, recycled items, along with the inclusion of some robotics/electronic technologies. The makerspaces will promote creativity, collaboration and problem solving, and will assist teachers to deliver curriculum in an innovative and contextually relevant manner.
