The ColLABoratory
Purpose:
The ColLABoratory will be a dedicated classroom transformed into a hub for students to innovate, collaborate, prototype and create innovations. A range of technology will be made accessible along with a set of LittleBits Education STEAM kits and recyclable materials in organised storage systems that would be purchased to ensure equipment will always be ready to use. It will foster cross stage collaboration, communication and leadership as students from multiple age groups will use the space at one time, working together on various projects. All students will have access to the room during a scheduled time. A specialised teacher will be on hand to guide students through the design thinking process.
