The WestTech Lab Project: A Maker Spaceat West Leederville PS
Purpose:
The WestTech Lab Project at West Leederville Primary School (WLPS) will support teachers and students in the understanding and application of the Western Australian Curriculum. We will create a maker space to provide opportunities for teachers to create engaging hands–on learning journeys for students. Our WestTech Lab will be a place for students to explore, learn, innovate and design using a range of technologies. It will be an exciting space where teachers can give students opportunities to be creative and apply their learning and understanding within the areas of STEM. Our school has a clear strategic direction to improve outcomes in all learning areas and the creation of this maker space will provide teachers the space to develop them.
