Purpose:
Our school is establishing a STEAM room from 2019! We are a primary school in Fawkner, Northen Melbourne, with approximatelty 70% students who speak English as Another Language. This will be run as a specialist classroom so that all of our students from Prep to Grade 6 will be designing and creating STEAM projects for at least one hour a week all year round. This will include projects in our school garden, cooking, coding, learning about online safety, conducting hands on science experiments, designing and creating machines. Money we receive will be used for purchasing a 3D printer, science kits including electrical circuits, a mini planetarium projector and MakeDo cardboard construction kits.
