White blood cells are the key components of the immune system that protect us from infection. Their growth is tightly regulated, and when they malfunction, they can expand rapidy to cause blood cancers and or autoimmune diseases. The aim of this work is to use cutting edge technology to observe these disease causing cells in their natural environment so we can better understand their strengths and weaknesses. This information will help us design new treatments for these devastating diseases.
